ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION
Roper Family Foundation is the updated name for the Roper Brothers Foundation Inc. established in 1964 in Winter Garden FL.
OUR GIVING
We work hard everyday to better the lives of our charity's recipients through our many causes — Arts, Garden Theatre Inc, Housing the Homeless, West Orange Habitat for Humanity, Health and Wellness, Roper YMCA and Central Florida YMCA. ARTS
Arts are part of what makes a community a community. Historic Downtown Winter Garden had lost its arts center when the Winter Garden Theatre shut down in the mid 60's. The reacquisition of the building in the early 2000's allowed a group of Volunteers to rebuild the historic theater into the Performing Arts Center of Winter Garden. The principals of the Roper Family Foundation were an intimate part of the theaters revitalization along with numerous other community, civic and State participants.
HOUSING
One of the main reasons Roper Family Foundation was founded in 1964 was to help build affordable housing in Winter Garden. Starting with the Mary Jean SubDivision, named after the daughters of two of the founding members. L. F Roper & Charles Dawson McAllister We’ve dedicated a lot of man-hours and invested countless resources to this charitable cause, and hope you’ll help us continue this work.
